The Espai Gerhard, inaugurated on September 25, 2022, occupied the space of the Capella de Sant Roc, and is dedicated to the brilliant composer from Valls, Robert Gerhard i Ottenwaelder.

The Espai Gerhard is, in short, a strong response to the first of the objectives set out in the statutes of the Institut d’Estudis Vallencs: the study and biographical and critical dissemination of the person and work of citizens of the Alt Camp who have excelled in cultural, artistic, economic or social activities.
