Figuerola del Camp is launching a literary route to help disseminate and revitalize the architectural, cultural and landscape heritage of the municipality.
The literary walk ‘Poetic Postcards of Figuerola del Camp’ is a self-guided route that is structured into two itineraries, the urban environment and the natural environment, and has as its common thread the poems that Josep M. Colet i Giralt (Barcelona, 1935) dedicated to his summer village.
Both routes are marked with 30 x 30 centimeter metal plaques that include the identification, dating and brief description of the heritage asset, the numbering that corresponds to the space within the route and a QR code to download the information. The QR reader will redirect to the municipal website to access the available audiovisual material (old and current photographs of the spaces and audios of the poems) and translations of the texts on the panels in Spanish and English.
This initiative has been made possible thanks to a grant from the culture area of the Tarragona Provincial Council.
In order for this walk to be a family-friendly one, it is offered to the little ones who can participate in a game of clues to locate existing elements along the route, but not always at first glance.
The literary walk is complemented by a new website with exclusively tourist content funded by the Tarragona Provincial Tourism Council’s (www.figuerolaturisme.cat).
