Cèsar Martinell is a key figure in understanding Catalan architecture from the early 20th century. This illustrious citizen of Valls, a disciple of Gaudí, played an important role in the cooperative movement that emerged at the turn of the 20th century and was the architect of the new wineries that went down in history as the “cathedrals of wine”. The route helps us discover the work that straddles modernism and noucentisme that this architect left in the city of Valls.

We recommend completing this route by visiting one of his most emblematic agricultural buildings, the cooperative winery of Nulles. At the end, a tasting of the wines produced by the winery will be offered.
