In 1930, the Agricultural Union of Bràfim was founded; the objective of this association was to defend the production of farmers, improve the agricultural production process and market the agricultural products of its members.
Later, in 1985, by Law 4/1983 on Cooperatives of Catalonia; it was renamed Cooperativa Agrícola de Bràfim i Caixa Rural de Bràfim, Sociedad Cooperativa de Responsabilitat Limitada. And currently, it is constituted as the Agricultural and Credit Section of Bràfim.
The entity consists of four sections, the wine section, the dried fruit section, the Almàssera section, and the credit section intended to exercise the function of a financial entity for the members.
The company’s activity is the production of quality wines; and it is in 1998, when a new phase begins in which the wine produced is bottled for subsequent commercialization on the market.
Our effort in the production process has gone towards technical improvement and the optimal use of our resources, in order to obtain a wine of the best quality.
The cooperative exclusively produces grapes from the vineyards of our members, from the municipalities of Bràfim, Vilabella, Nulles, Puigpelat, Alió and Montferri, belonging to the 160 members, who currently form the wine section of the Cooperative.
