Roman Columbarium of Vila-rodona

The Columbarium of Vila-rodona is the most important Roman vestige in the municipality. It is a 1st century funerary building where the urns with the ashes of the deceased were kept. These were placed in niches attached to the walls. The interior was divided into two parts by a central wall that separated the portico from the cell. The presence of the columbarium shows the existence of a lot of activity in this area in Roman times.
