Costa Daurada is the tourist brand that comprises the Mediterranean coastline between Cunit (Baix Penedès) and L’Hospitalet de l’Infant (Baix Camp). With a length of around 80km, it is located in the southern half of Catalonia, just 1 hour from Barcelona by car and around 100km from the main airport, despite the fact that Costa Daurada has its own airport, located in Reus. Costa Daurada is known for the beautiful beaches and coves of fine, golden sand, which are caressed by the warm, crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean. Moving away from the sea though, will allow you to breathe the peace of the monasteries, while being surrounded by fields, woods and mountains.
Costa Daurada, Family Tourism Destination, which provides you with bespoke activities for the whole family, is rich in natural areas, heritage and culture, as well as leisure, sports and enogastronomic activities, as real as spectacular. Check out all the treasures it can provide!
Alt Camp is one of the comarcas in Costa Daurada away from the coastline and Valls, its capital, is a town that provided Catalonia with 2 main, traditional icons: the stunning castells, also with the brand new Museu Casteller de Catalunya (the Human Towers Museum of Catalonia), and the delicious calçotada. The comarca does also stand out thanks to an extraordinary Modernism architecture, with a number of wineries ─aka Wine Cathedrals─ and a sancturary of great natural beauty. The known as Muntanyes de Prades i del Gaià bring some mysticism and spirituality that meet at the Reial Monestir de Santes Creus, one of the three monasteries of Ruta del Cister.
